Waiting is hard work. I do not like to wait in traffic or wait in the doctorʼs office. I have things to do and I expect the world to cooperate with my agenda. Sometimes God requires us to wait. For the ancient people of God, waiting was a way of life. They waited for God to keep his promise. They lived in a land of incompletion. They knew the final work of redemption was still to come. There would be a final sacrifice. There would be the final king to rule the world. They did not know the timing. They waited.
In Christ, the coming of the Savior at Christmas, God kept his promises. He brought the final sacrifice for sin -- no more repeated offerings. He brought the final king -- the One who would bring the reign of peace. This year we are celebrating the joy of Godʼs promise keeping ways. We are saying “AT LAST” the Savior has come. Consider with us the Final Sacrifice of Blood HERE and the Final King HERE.
