Baptism

As he was about to ascend to glory and to rule, Jesus gave a clear command to his disciples. He claimed that he was the Savior of all nations. he commanded them to make disciples of all peoples -- to call people to repent of their rebellion and swear allegiance to their true Master and King. And he insisted that the first step of discipleship was baptism in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He makes much of baptism.

At Grace Church we want to obey Christ by making much of baptism. We do not think that means exalting the sacrament. We think it means exalting Christ by the practice of baptism. We are convinced that baptism is the first step of the life of faith for the believer. It is a sign of the work of Christ and a seal of faith.
