“Extreme Makeover: Heart Edition: Who Do You Think You Are? May 31, 9am-12:30pm at
Grace Church. In this seminar, Elyse Fitzpatrick will help women (both young and not-so-young)
connect the dots between the Gospel, everyday life, and the honor of their Savior. All women, ages 14 and up, please join us for a time of worship, teaching, fellowship and fun. Please the info table on Sunday for more information.
Opportunity for Women: Women Discipling Women Conference, hosted by the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling Program at The Master's College, Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California. Keynote Speakers: Martha Peace, Elyse Fitzpatrick & Cindy Patten with large selection of seminars to attend as well. For more information see: http://www.masters.edu/deptPageNew.asp?PageId=2613
Together for the Gospel: The pastors would recommend that the members of the Grace Church family listen to the message by R C Sproul from Together For the Gospel. While all of the messages will be of benefit to us, this message was one of the clearest on the nature of Christ’s sacrifice we have heard. It will do much to inform your life and your family of the cost of the grace we enjoy and it will provoke gratitude. You can access the message at this link: http://www.sovereigngraceministries.org/Resources/T4G.aspx.
Meet Rancho Bernardo Number Two: God has called us to make Christ known in our immediate community. On June 1st we will be sponsoring a booth at RB Alive, a community street fair in downtown RB (http://www.sdncc.com/events/RB%5FAlive%5FExpo/). This year, they expect more than 60,000 attendees. This will be an opportunity for Grace Church to serve in the booth, meet our neighbors, and let Christ be known. We would also encourage the church family to plan on a visit to RB Alive, immediately after our morning worship. This is an opportunity to know the community, and to let them know about Grace Church.
Mother’s Day: This is a special day for many women, but for some it can be a very painful time. For women who have lost babies, who are struggling with infertility, or who are postabortive, this is a bitter-sweet day and the memories of what could have been are most evident. Morning Will Come, written by Sandy Day, is a collection of stories of people who have been through a loss or who are infertile. If you or a friend have experienced a loss please visit the information table in the lobby to obtain a complimentary copy of this book. For additional help and encouragement visit Caleb Ministries’ website at www.calebministries.org or call (704) 841-1320.
Attention Children’s Ministry Servants: When scheduled to serve, please sign-in at the Children’s Ministry Table in the lobby when you arrive. This will greatly help us administrate Children’s Ministry on Sunday mornings.
Please Pray: We invite you to meet before church at 9:15am in the 3yr-K Room to pray for our church, our youth and our community.
Prayer Requests: The pastors want to pray specifically for you as they meet each week. Email any prayer requests to and write “prayer request” in the subject line. Please be aware that these prayer requests are confidential and only viewed by the pastors.
