Our Beliefs

Christianity is about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.  It stands or falls upon the truth of history.  And the New Testament says so -- if Christ has not risen, then our faith is in vain.

Christianity also says that the death and resurrection of Jesus has a certain meaning.  This is not vague.  The Bible is clear.  Jesus death was voluntary, a self-sacrifice for sin.  He died in our place, experiencing the judgment we deserved.  He did more than die upon a cross, as terrible as that was; he suffered God's judgment for our sin.

It is the purpose of God that we know Jesus as proclaimed in the Bible, that we know the truth of God, and that we live in the truth.

Please note, where we differ with other orthodox Christians, we do so respectfully.  But we also believe we are called to live by our convictions before God.
