The Team
Grace Church is served by three pastors. They are a team with diverse gifts but share the same convictions and values. All of them have been trained at the Sovereign Grace Ministries Pastors College.

Mark Lauterbach is our Senior Pastor. He leads the pastoral team, serves as primary teacher, and oversees the office staff. After more than twenty years of pastoral experience, Mark became part of Sovereign Grace Ministries in 2003. He is from Pittsburgh originally and thinks that casual dress means jeans and tennis shoes (he wore a tie to high school!). He is a Steelers fan despite living in Charger territory. He likes classical music, jazz, and bluegrass. he and his wife Rondi have three adult children and one grandchild. They live in Escondido.
Eric Turbedsky serves as a member of the pastoral team. After relocating from the east coast, Eric and his wife visited Grace Church on the recommendation of an old college friend and never left. After a few years the elders encouraged him to investigate his calling to pastoral ministry and sent him to the Pastors College in 2001. Since then Eric has served in almost every area of the church, using his leadership gift to help leaders and ministries to adapt to the church's growing influence in the community. Currently he leads the Small Group Ministry and has joined Mark in regularly preaching on Sundays. Eric and his wife Kirsi have four young children and live in Rancho Bernardo.

Dan Wiilson also serves on the pastoral team. A native of San Diego, Dan brought his family to Grace Church early in its history. As he led a home group and experienced unusual fruitfulness there, the pastors asked him to consider the Pastors College as well. He attended in 2002 and now serves in Family Ministries: children, youth, and counselling. He also shares in the preaching. He enjoys karate, music that sounds best when it is loud, and lives with his wife Leslie and seven children in Santee.
