Serving
The Lord Jesus Christ came into this world as one who served. He did not ask people to serve him, but he laid down his life for others. His service is our salvation. And his salvation frees us and compels us to serve. Serving is not a way we climb into God's favor; it is an expression of already enjoying his favor in Christ.
At Grace Church we have ministry teams that serve in dozens of ways. People come to help set up the facility on Sunday or change diapers in the nursery. Members serve in the community as well by taking meals to someone in need, or serving meals at a local homeless shelter. Our greatest service to our neighbors must include the message of the Gospel as well. To care for people's we must address their present needs while presenting them with the One who delievers from the wrath to come.
Our desire is to grow in hands-on ministry to our community as a visible expression of the grace of the Gospel.
